Critter Counts

Rex and Isla morning walk
Road Runner for critter counts

Walking Activities with our Dogs

We count different animals on our daily walks. Our critter counts help keep all of us engaged and aware of our surroundings. Because of the different things we can run into, it is very important for us to stay aware of what is around us when we are out walking.

What kinds of activities/games do you participate in with your dog on your walks?

Listed on this page are:

  • Our highest bunny count day
  • Weekly total for the current week
  • Monthly total for the current month
  • Yearly total for the current year
  • Coming soon – our highest toad counts
    • The toads don’t really come out until the summer storms start up, usually around the beginning of July. And they mainly only come out at night. Once they start to come out more, we usually start seeing a high count of toads. The record toad count day once we get to toad season.

We hope you enjoy and would love to hear if you count creatures – and Rex and Isla want to know what kinds and what your counts you get!!
