Saturday - 5/6/2023 - It's a coyote!!
Hey my paw-some pals! It’s your loyal friend Rex here, wagging my tail and ready to share a cool story with you. So, this morning Isla wasn’t feeling too brave (shh, don’t tell her I said that), but that didn’t stop my mom and me from going on an epic adventure!
Our walk started off pretty normally – we stopped to say hello to our furry friends Emmy and Mason and even hydrated thanks to our amazing neighbor who leaves water out for us.
But things got wild when we spotted a coyote following us! My mom yelled out a not-so-nice word and we started moving, but I gave that coyote a piece of my mind before we left. We eventually crossed a bridge and even got to snap some pics of our new friend.
Mom thinks the coyotes have a den possibly with pups down there, so we might avoid that spot for a bit. But don’t worry, I’ll be ready to protect my mom if we spot them again!
Friday 5/12/2023 - A poop-tastic day! Lots of bunnies and the birthday girl!!
Hey there! Isla checking in for today’s adventure. We had a pretty hilarious (and gross) walk this morning. We were on the lookout for bunnies like normal, with our goal to make it to bunny park two. But before that, I had to go potty (as all good dogs do.) Mom picked up what I left behind, but here’s where the story gets messy. A bit of the poop ended up unknowingly on our water bottle, which she carries on the leash. As we kept walking, the poop was rubbing off the bottle and getting everywhere. It wasn’t until we were actually in bunny park two that mom noticed the poop- on her shorts, on her shirt, even on her hand! Let’s just say, there was poop everywhere. Haha, it was definitely a poop-tastic adventure to remember!
So, mom wasn’t exactly thrilled about what happened. Rex and I didn’t think it was a big deal, but I guess my mom is not a fan of poop. It’s funny because she still picks it up whenever we go out even though she doesn’t like it. Anyway, we wiped off as much as we could and headed home.
Thankfully, it was almost the end of our walk and we still managed to see 37 bunnies! Which ties our record! And guess what? It’s my birthday today and we’re having a party later. Friday 5/12/2023 - Isla's birthday girl party!!
Hey there, Isla here! Just dropping in to give you guys an update on my birthday party. It was so much fun! I got to rock a cute bandana that said “birthday girl” and even though my mom made me wear a silly hat for a little bit, I still looked adorable.
The birthday cookie we had was pretty tasty and had a candle that I got to blow out and make a wish. How cool is that? After that, it was gift time and I got some awesome stuff – squirrel toys, a little dog tug toy, and two antlers (although I wasn’t too happy that I had to share one with my brother Rex).
Speaking of Rex, he was a bit of a scaredy pup at the beginning, but he eventually joined in on the fun and played with my new toys. Overall, it was a great party and now we’re off to our nightly walk in the dog park. Gonna wear my bandana and show off my cuteness! Isla, over and out!
